Antrodia cinnamomea, also known as “The Red Ruby of Taiwan’s Forests”, is a fungus endemic to Taiwan. There are several studies showing that A. cinnamomea is able to modulate physiological functions and improve metabolism. Antromax® is rich in triterpenoids, superoxide dismutase, and adenosine. It is produced by an eco-friendly solid-state fermented method and avoids the use of the basswood of Cinnamomum kanehirae Hayata, an endangered tree. The proprietary fermentation method is capable of producing the similar amounts of triterpenoids in comparison with wild A. cinnamomea.
